Love the podcast! So much good information. For self care, I wanted to share that I am teaching my kids about self care too. We do a spa day together, at home. I was never taught to take that time for myself. So we setup a spa day, for my two girls and I, to show them how important it is to take that time. It’s fun and something we look forward to. We setup the whole thing. Scrubs, face masks, robes, eye masks, relaxing music. It’s fun, relaxing, and a teaching that self care is important.

This summer and into the beginning of our first homeschool year I spend time outside, daily, in a lounge chair, just relaxing. My children are 10 and 6 and at the end of our homeschool days we go into our separate spaces. Not just self-care for myself but necessary for my kids too since we’ve been heavily distancing with the pandemic and spend all our time together. Good self-care for all to have some alone time.

I’m really enjoying the podcast! The hosts have mentioned a couple of times that they listen to a Spotify playlist for different times during their homeschooling day. Could you share that profile with me? Thank you for the great content!

Hi! I love the podcast. It has helped me a lot to start our homeschool journey. I would love if you interview someone who is homeschooling a child with a disability. My daughter has cerebral palsy and is very intelligent, I have designed a curriculum for her that adapts to her abilities. But I would love to know how other mothers do it and if they recommend any specific curriculum or if there are any curriculum on the market designed for children with disabilities.

Hi. I love listening to your podcast. I stumbled upon it and binge listened from the very beginning to the very in in about 4 days. LOL.

I have a question, but first I want to tell you my self care and what I’m currently reading. Self care…I walk atleast 2 miles every morning before anyone else wakes up. And I binge listen to podcast and read when I can. I’m currently reading The Four Tendencies. I’m a questioner. LOL

Ok on to my question. I have two children one is 10 (girl) and one is 5(boy). He will be joining us next year in our homeschooling adventure. Here is my question. How do I divide my time between the two of them? Easy fix right? Give the older one her independent work first. Ok, I’m doing that, but she is so fast with it I’m still struggling to finish with my son. Let me add that I do homeschool him some mostly phonics, but he is a busy body and sometimes things don’t always go smoothly. HELP!!! This is going to the the death of me. Trying to divide my time evenly.

Hi! I love this podcast. I’d like to share some self care. I have 3 kids, ages 9, 7, and 6 months. This is our 2nd year homeschooling and I was really nervous about how it would go with a new baby. This self care is something I started this homeschool year and it has helped me feel like things are going smoothly. Every night before bed, I go through what is planned for the next day and then write a checklist on a post-it note of independent work for each of my kids. This has really helped them take charge of their independent tasks. This gives me peace of mind that I can take care of my baby when I need to and we can do our group tasks or individual lessons with mom as we are able. This also gives me space in my brain to enjoy our homeschool days together.

Have loved the podcast. Was wondering if you could talk about the different learning styles for kids and how to figure it out.

My new favorite podcast! I was listening to the “tweens and teens” episode because here we come middle school! You spoke about spending a week on personality tests. I love this idea. Could you please link the different tests you recommend? The only one we have done is love languages, but as seasons change, I’d like to revisit that one along with trying the others.
